MAKE AN IMPART
This morning i noticed my mom didnt go for morning mass as is her routine but she was dressing up in C.W.O uniform to go for mass around 7am. I asked her out of curiosity what is happening in Church today that made morning mass to be cancelled and extended as late as 7 a.m. My mom started crying that the church carpenter died so his last mass is being said today.
Carpenter!!! I was surprised! Like seriously how important is this carpenter? She narrated to me how this man helps church members with even housework whenever he visits. He will do works for people on credit. Always punctual to mass, even when the Church was broke, he did carpentry work with joy. Free of charge. Yet always smilling. He wasn't rich but he touched different lives!
Now a rich man who owns a bread factory in our neighborhood also died. I asked my mom, what is the rich mans burial arrangement? She said "its like he has being buried already" infact she doesnt Know. Abeg she is in a hurry and left.
See the difference, a poor man made an impact by his kind and exemplary life. His burial is pulling weight. Getting people crying and missing him. His wife was asked not to bring out One naira that parishioners will do all the expenses. Even after the burial.
My question this morning is this: what life have you touched? how are you going to be remembered? Will your work speak for you?
